O, Give Us Homes Built Firm Upon The Savior

Feb 16, 2025    Jamie Murray

A home built firm upon the Savior is one where honor, obedience, repentance, and forgiveness shape daily life, reflecting God's divine order for families, churches, and nations. The Fifth Commandment teaches that submission to rightful authority is ultimately submission to God, and a home that practices repentance and extends true forgiveness nurtures obedience and harmony. Without confession, sin festers, and without real forgiveness, bitterness takes root. As beloved children of God, we are called to imitate Him—fathers leading with grace and truth, mothers nurturing with sacrificial love, and children obeying as an act of worship. True submission is a blessing, not a burden, and when we walk in love, our homes become a fragrant offering to the Lord.
